San Dimas History and Schools
Started in 1887 but not incorporated as a city until 1960, San Dimas has just recently thrived in population within the last 50 years or so. The current population is around 35,000. The completion of the San Bernardino freeway turned this agricultural town into a more populated city. Bonita Unified School District covers the City of San Dimas, including elementary, middle and two high schools. The high schools are San Dimas High School and Bonita High School.

San Dimas homes have a traditional feel and architecture to them. You will also find some higher end communities with new designs as well as colonial and ranch style homes in the areas surrounding downtown. Apartment housing is limited compared to other cities in the area such as Covina and Azusa. Home prices range from mid $200,000’s up to 1 million in the higher end communities in Via Verde and Bonelli Park. The average price for a single family home is around 365,000.
